of course my dad and i are diagnosing it and its not doing it. there was no problem with any forward gears when it was happening.

fluid is not burnt, level is fine in trans, transfer case, front diff and rear diff. maybe a piece of dirt was stuck in the valve body who knows. if it does it again ill post up.

When you rolled back and gave it the gas sounds like you may have broke the pump gear. But who knows. I broke one last week and it sounded like "a fan" ticking with no movement. That was the converter throwing pieces around in the front end of the trans.

Oh I didnt see your post of "no prob with forward gears" so forget my post. I didnt have anything, any movement, nothing heard but the RPM's screaming and going no were.

who does those things?

now this really has me thinking about a transgo kit vette servo and 40k cooler with a retune and gears soon. ill update the thread accordingly hopefully it was a fluke.

its been fine since it happened yesterday at the new era open house. ive driven a mixed 500 miles since then. gona take a better look tomorrow at the ujoints and stuff see if my dad and i can find something.

welp it did it when my dad put it in reverse. he said it sounded like if he had to guess anything it sounded like the chain in the transfer case slipped on the sprocket. anyone heard of this before and what would remedy it?
