Default Alto Red or BW High Energy Band?

Which band is better to use in a 60e? I am in the middle of rebuilding my daily driver's 60e and have the Alto red band in the rebuild kit, but have heard good about the BW high energy frictions, so I figured it may be best to go with the BW band over the Alto. This is a stock 5.3 4X4 rcsb. Thanks fellas!

In my opinion, Use the BW high energy.

The Alto will work, but they don't like heat. If you get the Alto material hot it will delaminate.

Raybestos extra wide Carbon...not kevlar...with a NEW reverse input drum. Use with a corvette servo. I have vehicles over 600 hp out there running that setup just fine

ALWAYS ALWAYS will use BW high energy frictions and bands. The green colored ones are the best. Get the wide band if you can. It has more surface area. But be careful with the wide band(actually any band) when installing it on a rebuilt drum. The Entire drum surface must be FLAT for the band to ride on. If not, it won’t matter which band you use, bc it will fail prematurely.. I’ve been told by more than one builder that the Borgs are the best and the only reason they would ever recommend otherwise is bc they make more money by selling the Altos and other brands due to price markup.
Theres a reason GM only used BW in all of their transmissions from the factory. That’s bc they last the longest. Any hype that talks about holding power or better performance from friction material is all sales hype. Holding power and slippage comes from having the trans setup with the right pressures and clearances from the get go. Very little of that nonsense has to do with choosing the right friction material.
