Airride suspension build
#1
So I've finally got my truck running and driving and I really would like to put the whole truck on airride and notch it. I have a proffessional welder to help me do all the welding I could use some input though on estimated costs, things to watch out for what all do i really need Ive looked at nfamus out of texas and plan on buying their 3 link kit for the rear but wasnt sure if i would need the full front set up or just eh bag cups and what all would need to be welded up on the rear for the bags to function properly. Ive never bagged a truck before and I would like to do it myself/with my welder rather than take it to a shop. and I plan on running accuair management with sensors.
3 link kit 99-06 CHEVY 1/2 TON KIT - NFAMUS METAL
bag cups for front 99-06 CHEVY FULL SIZE BAG CUPS - NFAMUS METAL
full front kit FRONT KIT : 99-06 CHEVY - NFAMUS METAL
3 link kit 99-06 CHEVY 1/2 TON KIT - NFAMUS METAL
bag cups for front 99-06 CHEVY FULL SIZE BAG CUPS - NFAMUS METAL
full front kit FRONT KIT : 99-06 CHEVY - NFAMUS METAL

Really does depends on what your goals are. Lay out or just air ride? Overall tire size?
To lay out on big wheels you will need to have drop spindles, relocate the fuse box and tub the firewall. the gas tank will also need to be raised and transmission crossmember will need to be raised. If you just want air ride, throw the bags and cups up front and the 3 link on the rear, set the pinion angle, plumb your air management and that's pretty much it. there are a few other little odds and ends that will need to be done but you get the picture. I've done and helped do many air ride installations so hit me up if you have any questions when you start. Keith knows his stuff so anything you get from him is top notch alone with the knowledge too.

Im mostly just looking for airride i was going to static drop the whole truck 3/5 or 2/4 with lift shackles and a flip kit. I already have front drop springs but my main concern was scraping and banging up the underside. I would like to be able to empty the bags and sit at about a 3/5 or a 4/6 for now. One day I want to lay frame but thats a long way down the road. What Im now thinking is to do a static drop for now see how i like it and then possibly put the helper bags in the rear and the cups in the front if its to low to daily drive. I will definitely hit you up with all the questions ill have along the way, its always good to have some help when building projects.

You can do that but make sure set up the bags to compress past where you want the ride height so you aren't running on the bellows or the bumpstops built into the bag. It should yield a smooth ride and the adjustability you are looking for...
