You need the 80e dipstick tube, its different than the 60e.
If you are worried about the relay failing you can use a solid state relay, or even wire 2 or 3 relays in parallel...the chances of all of them failing is basically zero.

I presume you already have the correct AN cooler fittings or modified your stock cooler fittings on the trans end? I.E. the long rear one that extends into the center support?

fuel pump runs off a relay, along with Electric Fans, if you use a quality relay you wont have a problem.
they arent having alot of amps run thru them for a transmission noid so the odds of them failing are slim.

Is the tranny all assembled? I don't have my manual in front of me, but I don't think that snap ring is supposed to be in that clock position. Maybe someone with a manual or experience (Vince) can chime in.

Although I did my swap awhile back I interested to hear how you might run the 4L80E on a 4L60E segment file. Just wondering if there are any advantages. Keep up the great work!
