Default additional trans cooling

I purchased an additional trans cooler. How do you install between the rad. and transmission. Does it matter if it is between the input or the output of the rad.. I would think you would want it on the output side of the rad. I haven't looked at it yet but are the cooling lines hard lines or rubber. I looks as if they are hard lines.

You want the fluid to flow to the radiator first, then to the additional cooler. Even with the water temperature about 160-180 degrees, the cooling capicity of water is lot higher than air. (water = 4.168 J/g°C, vs. Air = 1.005 J/g°C)

Besides, keeping it flowing through the radiator helps keep the transmission fluid warm during extremly cold weather.

Yes, they are hard lines(to the best of my knowledge,it's been awhile). Most that I've seen on here, people are putting them in front of the rad. Basically in the same place as the factory one. Tihs is where I put mine.

Any special fittings to make one fit? Or will all the parts be included with the tranny cooler kit?

Depends on how you go about installing, if you want a quick install and don't care much about looks then the rubber hose, barb fitting, and hose clamps will do just fine. If you are looking more for a factory look, or using SS braided hose then it will cost more.
