Default ? about 4l65E

I just got done installing a brand new gmpp 4l65e in place of my old 60e I noticed the trans slip yoke is sticking out, about 1" of shiny, from where it ran in the old trans? Please dont tell me I gotta lengthen my driveshaft 1" I thought this was supposed to be a pretty well straight up swap. Anyone gotta clue?

from my understanding. the only difference between 60 / 65E is the wideband & pump . . i dont think the 1" matters , cuz i had 1320 tran's slip yoke & i upgrated to 1350 yoke , which was longer , and No problems up 2 date'

I bet your old trans had a extension housing with a dust boot on the seal. Take a look at it and you will see what I saying. Vince
