Uh ! NO! Did you see the pic's posted above? they ALL come with Disc brakes.(nnbs escalade's that is)

the OBS axle's had the drum's, those ends where used on the newer axle tubes in order to use the larger dia bearings to accept the better axles and therefore needed to be corrected for proper disc brake geometry.

And the stock 10 & 14 bolt axles are the same for with or with out speed sensing. only dif is with or without reluctor ring on the end of the outer axle bearing.

The NNBS axles in stock form are wider than the NBS axles regaurdless of wheel offsets.

just tryin to help.

Ray - you are going way beyond "trying to help"! Your swap is AWESOME--you have done exactly what GM could have and should have done! Makes my "bolt-in" swap look like a hillbilly hand job! lol Glad that you have been willing to go the extra mile to do things perfect! Colb

ok ok relax. i miss understood. but i got it now. i was told there is a different part number from one to the other on the 10 bolt axles with the JL4 rpo. and that they are alittle different. maybe there not but i know when you look them up on junk yard sires it shows the different rpo codes also.

were you guys able to use the stock drive shaft or did you have to have it shortened? i think i'm going to have a new one made anyway, but it would be easier to measure my stock stuff so i could put it in all at once. better than installing rear then having truck down while i wait on new shaft.

I used the stock DS with NO modification other than using an adapter u-joint (Mechanics 3R on the driveshaft end to Spicer 1350 on the 14-bolt end). No problems with yoke depth in the transmission.

so the 14bolt has a 1350 stock? if so that's great, one less thing to buy.

The pinion yoke on mine--reportedly from a 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV--is a 1350. Not sure that all are 1350?

The salvage yard that I bought the rear from provided me with the VIN # of the vehicle it was pulled from...I called my local GM dealer parts dept, gave them the number and they told me which u-joint it used.
