Default 80e Parts List ....

Im wanting to start gathering parts for a 80e swap. My truck is a LQ9 6.0 with a radix and it has the 4l70e in it now.

Im wondering if I shouldnt order the Speed Eng kit that has everything or if I should piece it together.

What do you think?

If I was to start piecing it together who has a parts list for what Ill need?

Just get the package from SE and be done with it. Im piecing mine together since I got the harness used, Im going to weld my own crossmember up and Im getting a 6L flexplate so all I need to by is the input adapter for the t-case. Not even going to give the 70e a chance huh?

How much do you want to do yourself ? New lines can be had from the dealer for 20 bucks. You need the tcase input shaft, wiring harness from speartech, then crankspacer and bolts, dipstick tube and throttle bracket. From there you have to make your tranny crossmember yourself along with driveshafts. I'm at I think 1800 for my 4l80-e swap with a tranny that has a 1 year warranty from o'reily's. Thats the best place to get one but you have to konw someone my tranny was only 1300.

I just want something that will bolt right in, plug in and go. I want it to be reliable etc. Did you build your own cross member or have your stocker sectioned? I want minimal work, and cost.....

If oyu look at SE's website all they did on the crossmember is cut it on each side of the mounting point and move it back one crossmember width back. Ill do it myself for 150 bucks or whatever ludacris amount they are charging.
