Default 80e ???

anybody ever run a 80e on a 5.3 with a yank converter built for the 5.3 flexplate with no spacer

A conversion converter? Yes, I have a stock 5.3 block with an SFI LS1 flexplate and Yank converter in a 4L80E... Works like a charm.

It is quite common. It will have the LS 4L60 style bolt pattern. And the rest is for the 4L80. I would of course suggest a Circle D though.

My 10.5" 80e Circle D converter bolts strait to my stock 4.8 flex plate with no adapters or spacers.
