Default 700r4 problems

I took the trans apart to replace the 3/4 clutch pack and I put the trans back in the truck and now I have no gears. Before I took the trans out 1st 2nd and reverse all worked fine. I'm not sure what I did wrong or if maybe the torque converter or oil pump is now dead. Is there anyway to test this stuff to narrow it down? I do think the oil pump works though because when i started the engine the oil level in the trans did go down.

I guess you didnt hook up the manual valve correctly.Anyone you talk to will first ask"did you put a pressure gauge on it"?

Ok I have been talking to some different people and the one guy said I fucked up my oil pump because I didnt take the converter off with the trans. Could I have fucked up the oil pump putting the trans back in? That would pretty much explain why I have no gears.

Ok so what is the correct way to reinstall the trans and converter so I don't mess anything up? Do I put the converter on the input shaft bolt the bellhousing up and then bolt the converter up to the flexplate?

Yes that is that is the way to do it. Make sure that the tc turns freely and after the trans is bolted to the block it should pull forward 1/8-3/16's of an inch.

ok I had a few hours free today so i yanked the trans back out it looks like the TC wasn't in all the way or somethin the piece that actually goes into the pump was kinda fucked up looks like it got fucked up when i cranked it over. I couldnt really see anything in the pump but do u think i broke something in there? Is there any chance i didnt **** it up. I mean should i just order a new pump and call it good. Should i look into maybe a new converter too? Also just a question i had but would a T56 bolt up with the right bell housing?

Well I put a rebuilt pump and torque converter on and the truck drives again and runs through all the gears fine. I was scared at first though I didn't have reverse but i didn't have enough oil in the trans, i ended up putting 9 quarts in so far.
