Default 700R4 lockup how to??

i just put a 700 in my 87 p/u which came with a 400 and was wondering what the easiest/best way is to hook up the electronics for it? i took all the wirng etc out of the doner truck but am not sure where to hook up all the ends. the doner wasnt runng and where the wires came out of the firewall i just snipped them off there and figured i could find a schematic or something to help guide me where to hook them back up.

i know i can drive it in drive without harming it but i put it in so ican have overdrive.

or is there a better way to hook it up instead oftryng to use thefactory harness and etcs????

I'd recomend calling a transmission parts shop and see if you can get one of these.

You can put it in OD...it won't hurt it....it will just run a little hotter than normal. I have the same problem with mine since I installed my MPFI but I haven't seen one of those before zippy. I'm looking at the B&M unit to control mine considering I have a 1990 truck but I don't know if I have that valve bore considering I put in a new tranny with the engine.

You could also run a vacuum controller if you want too.
