Default 700R4 knocking while in reverse

Well like the title says...it just started knocking about a week ago while being in reverse. It is almost like a grinding/knocking(mixture of the two) noise coming from the front of the tranny or back of the engine, somewhere in that position from the cab...haven't gotten underneath it yet to see what's up. The tranny doesn't do this while in its forward gears though. Its weird b/c its never done that until a week ago and I am not hard on it at all. Any input would be great guys/gals!! Thanks!!

Check for a cracked bellhousing/case, converter bolts, possibly cracked flywheel, or maybe the torque converter.

I would think the flywheel would knock in drive as well but I could be wrong...I will get underneath there tomm and check the bellhousing/case.

When you say torque converter....what do you mean...like its going out/failing or what?

I mean that the torque converter may be failing.....I don't know but just something else to check is all else is good.
