Default 700r4 guys

Those of you using 700r4. I'm gettin ready to have mine rebuilt. What kit/company have you gone with an has worked for you. Also what kind of HP does your truck have. I've been lookin at probuilt street/strip 700r4 rebuild kit (625 HP rating)
Part Number: SSRK700L87 what do Yall think of the components used in kit.

I know some will say get a 4l60/80 but not something I wanna do right now. as I have another spare 700r4 almost new(10k mi) any info will be appreciated thanx

Probuilt makes a great kit according to those who have used it...popular with the thirdgen dot org forum. Dana (owner of probuilt) helps a lot of those guys out and seems to know his stuff like Vince B. over here. Hope this helps.

What is the trans going into, and how do you plan to use the vehicle? That's going to decide how you need to build it.

How are you going to hook up the T.V. Cable to the throttle body?

Correct throttle valve cable adjustment is critical for a 700r4 to live behind 450hp in a truck. Besides that, the tranny needs to be well built. Personally, I wouldn't skimp here at all, I'd want the best of everything I could get.

I've smoked my 4L60E so many times it makes me sick. And the 700r4 is basically the same tranny, but not electronically controlled.
