It's not that I don't trust anyone, it's just that I have never had good luck with any thing used, no matter what it is ,and have lost time and money when I have. I don't even buy remanufactured stuff from the zone any more, I always get it from the dealer, or aftermarket.

It does sound like a really good deal, and hate to say, but I have to pass it up.

well i know 04BlackSilverado personally and can say that he is a stand up guy. he has sold a lot of stuff on here and i'm sure other people will say he's a good guy.

the tranny was a pull out from a van that had 20 miles on it. Steve (04BlackSilverado) installed it but i don't think he even got it off the lift before he took it out. in other words, the transmission is pretty much new. it already has a shift kit in it, so it should be able to handle somewhere in the 700hp range. its a good deal in my opinion. much better than $4,000.

if you get the 65e get the billet shaft

on the rear replace the g80 with a eaton lsd or a detroit trutrac and you'll be set

i highly suggest getting a built driveshaft, yes with 500+hp you will need it, when it goes it usually take out the trans too no matter how good it is

sounds like you want the 80e and if so get it, like said before with a shift kit it will hold 700rwhp

I pretty much planned on the eaton ls diff, and to use the 80e I have to get the rear driveshaft cut, and the front one lengthened so I just planned on getting new stronger ones w/ sealed u-joints.

I looked at the pictures of your truck, it's alot like mine except for 4x4, nice looking truck.

thanks but it needs alot of work (body work and interior work) to be up to par, and it severely needs a new driveline

Go with the 80e for sure. I had the same thought process as you. I'm collecting parts for my swap because i really don't want to have to worry about that trans coming out again. I can deal with it being slow for a while till i get a FI.

if you got the money than i would do a 80 swap i am not cause of the weight i don't want.to me a 60 to a 65 is a waste of money i have try both a the 60 is faster and i have not had any problems.

I blew up number 5 this week. Well, I think it was the driveshaft splitting in 2 at 140+mph and ripping the back of transmission out that did it.

I think 04BlackSilverado's 80E conversion in the classifides has been spoken for.
