Rear shouldn't cost much at all, you already have the shackles, blocks will just be removed, you may have to get shorter u-bolts, and then the hangers are fairly cheap. the big cost will be in the front.

I wouldn't recommend re-using the u-bolts, even if the length is still okay.

why not? just cut the extra length off.

I think with the hangers, you will get a crappy ride..I hate hangers. anyway, you could put a 6" flip kit on and you will have a factory ride in the rear, but with this you will have 8" drop out back without the blocks. find a way to keep the blocks and you will have 6" drop and a prime ride

I would have done this, but I dont think the threads are long enough. ie you cant get the nut tight before it bottoms out on the shaft part of the U bolt.

(I cant believe I just used shaft and nut and bottom out and Im not dying laughing)

If you keep the blocks after the flip kit, you will have drop blocks instead of lift blocks. However, if you use the flip kit, djm does make a lifting shackle that will raise the rear up 1" so you would have a 7" drop.

The 4wd ubolts arent threaded enough to reuse them with the block removed you have to get 2wd ubolts. Ill roll around on a 4" drop in the rear and the t-bars loosened for a while till I can afford the other stuff my pockets are empty after the motor build

Cool

Measure from the rear axle to the frame. You will need a c-notch for a 6" drop and probably a c-notch or slam air helper bags for a 4" drop. Try it out first but I think it will bang the frame even with the 4" drop. If you can not lower the front enough on the torsion bars you can get lowering keys for the front that will get you down low enough for a 2/4 drop and then spindles if you want to go for a 4/6 drop.

I don't think that they recommend going below a 2/4 drop in a 4x4 because of the front drive shaft angles and the wear it causes on the CVJs. I did a 3/5 drop on mine and so far so good. I got the drop I needed in the front on lowering keys. I have hangers and shackles on the rear and they are adjustable for a 3, 4 or 5 " drop. Your rear axle is a little different than mine because my axle sits on top of the rear leafs from the factory and does not have any lift blocks. See if a 3/5 drop will suit your ride. With hangers and shackles you should be able to figure out a way to get a 5" drop on the rear. You may be able to adjust a flip kit for a 5" drop as well but I am not sure if they are adjustable for a 5" drop or not. For a 5" drop I am sure you will need a c-notch or slam air helper bags if you can figure out how to get them in there. I was just able to get Air Ride AOL bags in mine between the leafs and frame in front of the axle. They help with axle wrap in that location as well and I use them to remove the lean in my rear suspension by having a separate air supply line for each bag. The bags also provide a certain amount of sway control if you run a separate air supply for each side. I did not bother with a compressor or control and just plumbed fittings to the rear so I can fill them as need be manually. Mine are really just set them and forget them.

If you want drop keys for cheap, the stock 1500 keys will jack up a 2500, so 2500 keys should drop your truck.
