i have same issue. i still dont have that many miles on swap but i have trained my foot to not let off all the way. which is hard on a bumpy road with how touchy a drive by wire throttle is lol.

I have the same issue with my reg. cab. I talked to bill@hpt about it, he said it hard coded into the 80e tune and cannot be changed by hpt or efi. He did say that you could run it on the 60 tune with some relays and wiring changes, but I didn't get that far. I have an 80e with a 3200 converter, super annoying.

You have to wire in a relay to change the polarity of one of the shift solenoids and then run it on the 60e tune. You do not need the front speed sensor with this method.

There was a guy on tech that had a writeup on it but then he decided to take it down and charge people $20 for the instructions

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...-required.html

Somebody pay him and forward me the instructions

Ok thanks. Just making sure I'm not taking a step back instead of forward.

I'm thinking about it. Just worried if relay fails or something stupid. Wonder if anything special in tune or if just like 60

I know you have to disable the 3-2 solenoid codes and there's some wires to move around. I'll do a little digging and see what I can put together, I do remember the original thread on how to do this. It's a shame the first guy is charging $20 for this.
