Soo, the gist of what I've read is 4wd launching and then going 2wd as soon as you cam maintain traction and at wide open throttle is fine?

I'm still seeing a few saying I'll break something but the majority say its fine.

Thanks for the help guys!

And once I reach those power levels?

Just don't do it, or are there precautions I can take to avoid breaking things?
I ask simply because that's when it seems it would be the most useful.

Not really any precautions you can take... Too much torque and its not going to be able to shift out of 4wd. It'll just break the fork.

Why don't you try both and see if there's any difference?

Did it for quite a few runs in my truck when I was still NA. I think I did it a couple times with just the Procharger (maybe twice?). I just keep it in 4x4 for the whole pass now though. It had no problem switching out when it was NA, not sure I trust trying it now with all the mods.

I tried it without any issue. Once you switch from 4wd to 2wd, it will not disengage at WOT until the trans shift from 1-2 or whatever gear.

It does not hurt to leave it in 4wd all the way for the piece of mind.

If you have awd just leave it there. I thing it will auto disengage at certain speed. I know the full time awd vehicles do.
