4wd to 2wd conversion?

I am sure that both my 2wd tb and my truck have the 4wd spindle,(large open center for the 1/2 shaft), I will take a closer look at it today.

sheeesh, it's always something with adding power isn't it? didn't even think of that, he's enjoying the power distribution to all 4wheels now, not in 2wd though. HA, simple but very important to consider, especially at those levels.

Yes the 2wd and 4x4 Spinldes are the same, You just need 2wd hubs.

did you plan on switchin to coil spring front suspsension or keeping the torsion bars? other then what is stated, if you do want coil springs, you'd need to get the upper spring cup and weld that on the frame, plus switch out the a-arms

i haven't looked at it but i was thinking about trying to make some kind of coil over set up fit up there.

That is a really good idea. Talk about saving some weight! They make those shocks and springs in all different heights and rates. All you'd have to do is weld up some brackets and that would be easy. Probably could use some universal mounting brackets.

ahhh, Jim u and I think very alike lol, 4wd to 2wd with the coilovers at all four corners
