Default 4l80E and vacuum mod

I have a 05 4l80E and just wondering if I should throw in the vacuum modulator I have for it? Just wondering if this would be better than running the electric pressure control, also what size should I run the rod at?

Don't know about size, but I always enjoyed the vac modulator in my FLT trans, I'd consider doing one on my 80E
