How, by subtracting the extra length of the 80E compared to the 60E from the driveshaft?

No, its more complicated than that..but it has been known to work... Find one of the sites that you can order a custom shaft from and look at the measurement sheets... They typically want a measurement from theback of the trans/tcase where the seal mates to theflange of teh yoke on the diff and a few others i have even seen where they want to know whAt the fully compressed and extended height of rear suspension is...
