Default 4L80E Swap Question

I read through the sticky's I found and couldn't find this answer..

I want to install just a stock 4L80E with Stock Stall into my 1999 5.3l Sierra.

I know the 6.0l uses that 1/2" Crank Spacer, so I will find that when it comes time cause I will need that aswell.

The question is what Flex Plate and Starter will I need to make this work properly?

Thanks.

4L80E flexplate (flat), and your existing starter will work.

Ah..ok..so they have the flat ones like the old 350's..cool. I'm used to the beveled ones in the 5.3's, and the LS1's.

Another quick one..I read the Transfer Case Sticky..is the best bet to get a 241 Case with the 4wd 4L80E if I come across one like that?

Is the 241 the Electronic one?

I don't know a whole lot about trucks..learning here..lol

NVG 241 is manual.

NVG 243 is 2 speed electronic selectable.

NVG 246 is 2 speed electronic automatic (Autotrac)

Ok, so which one would be in most of the Trucks that have the push-button 4wd?

NVG 246 (RPO= NP8)
But make sure you get one that originally came behind an 80E. It will have the 32 spline input gear.
