Well guys I was really hoping to order my parts from speed-engineering but they told me today they dont make them anymore..
I can fab my own lines for the fluid cooler return lines, but I am no welder, not by a long shot.. so I need a source for a 4l80E swap tranny crossmember.
I also want a source for the parts needed to adapt my driveshaft to work with the longer transmission.. S.E. sold a yolk adapter, and if needed I can ask them for the part # and where I can order it from, but otherwise has anyone else had this done, can I just have driveshaft shortened a little bit? I was planning on having my driveshaft performance balanced for added peace of mind anyways, so might as well just let the same shop do all of that at once if needed.
I believe the wiring harness adapter is still made by spearco? speartech? someone like that.. I am hoping they still make it, will be checking with them via phone tomorrow.
I can always pick up the random parts like flexplates and dipstick tubes at dealership or junk yard.
But yea, anyone know if theres a shop who still makes the conversion transmission crossmembers? this is the only part I am too concerned about.
Thanks guys!

From: somewhere in the sticks.
for the yoke just go to the junk yard and get a 2500hd w/ 4l80e driveshaft and then get a precision #447 ujoint $36 just did it on mine today and it worked perfect with out cutting or anything.Get a p.i converter and tell them you are doing the swap and they will build it to bolt to the stock flywheel and you dont have to mess with it get you some tranny cooler hose and 4 clamps and cut the line and add about 10-12" of it. is your truck a 4wd or 2wd if it 2wd cut your cross member wider than the trans and move the center back 6" to the inside of the trans mount hole.then go to the junk yard and get a pcm plug out of any 97 or up chevy and take the cover off the pins and cut 2 wires of your choice you wanna use to wire the extra speed sensor then push it thru the connector and do the same thing you did to get the pin out of the donor to your truck except put them 2 pins in pin 22 and 23 they are numbered then take the trans connector and change the wires that are on the sticky you can just take it apart its easy you will see need anymore help pm me or wait till tommorow or saturday and i will post a new thread with more detailed instructions.you dont need the speed eng connector its simple to do and alot cheaper.

You don't need to buy a wiring harness adapter just modify your existing one and get an extra connector https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=413157
I was going to do a 4l80 swap but I got lazy and bought an flt 5 instead.
this therad has some gm part numbers you might need

So what you are saying is I can use the front yoke from the 80e drive line and the ALU 60e drive line with this U joint?
is there going to be a issue with the hole in the yoke where the bolt held it to the tranny?
Thanks AJ.
O I have a 1998 GMC 1/2 ton removed a 305 / 4l60e
installed a 350 / 4l80e from a 3/4 ton
