Just finishing my 6.2/4l80e (originally 6.0/4l65e) swap in my 06 denali, I need it tuned and a crossover pipe finished. Problem is my tuner can't tune it until the exhaust is finshed. My question is can my truck be driven 20 feet onto a hoist in order to have my exhaust finished without being tuned?

He won't do it unless it's a be to move on its own for safety reasons

 

Said tuner can still tune it without exhaust, what is he thinking.

Just perform the segment swap for the 4L80e and it'll drive just fine but maybe that's just too easy?

It should still have first gear even without a tune and atleast be able to roll 20 feet onto a hoist.

 

Yes it will move... did mine last year drove it out of shop (just out back)and did tune a few days later👍🏼

 

Well the issue is he's driving 5 hours to tune it not to just do a segment swap.
