Sorry, its how the pics come off my phone. Other forums resize and click to enlarge. I don't know why this forum doesn't. Is there a better way to post pics?
I am TOTALLY open to suggestions on parts. I'm shooting for a max of 600FtLbs (more like 500) since I'm going LS6 CAM and smallish turbo for early peak torque on my 5.3, but was thinking...
- Pretty much stock frictions and steels where needed. I keep hearing conflicting reviews on really aggressive frictions and steels holding heat too much. I'd love input here.
- Sonnax sure cure with that stupid expensive tool kit to drill things out.
- Transgo hd2 shift kit.
- Drill out the pump oil hole a bit.
- Sonnax fancy plastic check *****, wiring harness, 4x4 output shaft and misc I'll post when they arrive.
Should I do bearings? Should I just replace all frictions and steels?

Internal case damage
Uhhhh.... just noticed this bit chipped off inside. I found no such chunk when pulling apart. I assume the GM rebuild ran fine like this.
Do I have anything to worry about? I hope to god I don't need a new case...

Thanks. I was thinking and hoping someone would say that. I've identified the HD snap ring from the transgo kit on WIT Trans for about $3.00. I'll slap that in to make things tougher On the cheap build after all.

I got a good deal. $300 total for a Sonnax Sure Cure and the tool kit. Some guy on ebay had both sitting around, never used since he decided to just buy a new trans rather than rebuild his broken one.
The toolkit is $300 by itself, so I done good I think.
Also since I'm tearing everything apart I'm not going to get a Transgo HD2 kit. I'll more cheaply do the internal dual feed mod (free)
