Between Vince and Chris you should have no problem fixing this issue Silverado SS 04, you've got the top notch pro's giving you advice here

ok i need to do a pressure test on the trans, what gauge and what port on the trans do i test this on?

any help would be great, thanks.

when driving its about 150 psi and when i wot it hits 200.

Bump for ya. I am having some slight lock up issues at cruise, not sure if its tuning or what or if im just used to the 60E LOL. Subscribing!!!

By looking at the pressures you have posted it seems a bit high at idle to me. However I have seen this when the vehicle is cold started or just started for that matter until the idle stabilizes. I will say that higher pressures in any trans can and will cause issues if cross leaks are present. Personally I would look at installing a different valve body for starters to see if it helps with the TCC being applied when it should not be first. After that there is only one other thing to replace and you will have to pull the unit to replace the pump.

The 80E strategy is different from the 60 and it seems to be a common complaint. I believe the LS1 edit software is better to tune these issues out IIRC. Vince

here are the pics, looks like the gasket is cracked everywhere and their is a snapped bolt head sitting on it....

what does this bolt go to? can i just take it out and replace it?

im going to pull the rest of the vb apart and clean everything out tomorrow.
