Hey guys just got my fmvb 4l80e back. I am swapping it into an 01 silverado that had the 4l60e. since it is full manual I wont be needing the wiring but I am going to try something a little different. Has anyone here swapped to a 4l80 fmvb but tricked the ecm to retain cruise control? also should I keep the neutral safety switch or wire it in the neutral postion.

 

u will have to rewire the neutral safety switch or spin it into the neutral position and leave it plugged up to crank. Your cruise control should still work either way. I don't think having a trans or not should matter for it.

 

thats what I was thinking. anyone know how to wire it up to think its in neutral so I can delete the neutral safety switch and wires.

 

i friend of mine ended up getting a full wiring diagram of the pcm and transmission wiring for me got a setup figured out.
