4L80E, first gear not working

4L80E, first gear not working
Appreciate if anyone can diagnose my problem with no first gearin a 4L80E transmission. When I put gear selector into D it will start of in second, when I place selector in first it will not move, feels like it's trying to go forward and backward at the same time. When I put selector in R it slams into reverse, didn't do this before. Could this be a solenoid failure or band failure?
