Disconnect power from trans problem solved doesn't lock and doesn't try to kill the truck however also doesn't upshift.... Quick question what the sensor plug I wired in goes to the front speed sensor and the factory sensor from the transfer case plugs into the rear sensor?

Sorry this is off topic, but it was brought up earlier...

So I got curious how the gap left by removing the center support sealing ring compared to the feed holes in the direct drum. I measured the OD of the center support grooves, the ID of the direct drum, and the diameter of the hole(s) that feed the inner and outer of sections of the direct clutch.

Center support groove OD = 2.029"
Direct clutch drum ID = 2.064"
Feed hole diameter = 0.157"

The gap area created by removing the sealing ring is 0.128 sqin, and the feed hole areas are 0.019 sqin each. So in short, the flow area created by removing the sealing ring is much larger than the feed holes in the direct drum. So I think this concludes that the center support does not need to be ground down for additional flow.

Unless there is something I'm missing?

Is there something in the wiring I'm missing? I have a adapter and I wired in an additional speed sensor which is in the front and the oem connector is in the back

Hey did you get this sorted out yet? I think you might have a bad tune. Give your tuner a call. I did the 4L80E swap in my truck earlier this year and had the same issues. I did the tune myself with EFI live and out of my ignorance didn't perform a full segment swap. I only copied and pasted the shift tables. Anyways it was doing some of the exact things you're talking about until I fixed the tune with the full segment swap.

Converter clutch dragging the engine, terrible shuddering after 1-2 upshift, required lots of throttle to get moving, etc.

Can you shift through all the gears? I could only get mine up to 20-25 mph or so. Don't think I ever got higher than 2nd gear.

Well I was told that with the tune they put in its a shift pattern tune not a segment swap also was told that I didn't need the front speed sensor wired in if I used their harness who the hell knows I'm about to yank this 80e and put back a 65 and sell everything **** it

The 60E segment will work with a relay and some clever wiring, this also removes the need for the front speed sensor. Or you can use an 80E segment and both speed sensors and swap a couple wires around.

I have a harness that goes between my oem connector and transmission.... Plus it came with this additional speed sensor I bought the 80e conversion on a totaled Tahoe everything is there that he used... PCM tuner said they didn't perform a segment swap just a shift schedule tune either way the truck needs a ton of throttle to move and then shudders violently can't even get past 10mph
