All seriousness though... rode in a 6 liter camaro with a 76mm turbo and an 80E swap, christ that thing was scary at 3/4 throttle haha

You can use a 96 but there are some changes in design to keep in mind. The 96 still has the older lube design, you can tell by the location of the cooler fittings. Also you will not have the 12 Oclock bolt hole for the LS1, neither of these are a show stopper as I said you can use it but most would prefer a 97" up for the newer lube design. Again this is in my opinion.

So the older lube design is not a end of world issue. Also I have read that they are stronger and can handle more hp than the newer design, Is this true? As far as the bolt holes go its only the 12 o'clock position not used? Thanks for the help. Also is $400 a good price for a '96 model 80e?
