Default 4L80E all the common questions im sure

Is there a corvette stlye servo for the 80s?

Im going to pull the pan and replace the filter on this transmission before putting it and a 6.0 in a 68 pickup. Im going to have a comp 224 and ported 317 heads. Is there anything to do in the valvebody to beefup or modify for harsher shifts? Also do they have the plastic pistons that need the aluminum upgrade?
Thanks

no vette servo for the 80e's . . . .

If you want firmer shifts, you can get the HD2 kit for it.

My experience with 03-04 80e's, they had plastic accum. pistons in them and couldn't find metal ones.

All of the components in a 4L80-E are oversized and underrated versus the stuff in a 4L60-E which was all designed for a 180HP 1980's smog motor and is only in production for so long due to the evolution of electronic torque management.

You can safely run a 4L80-E with absolutely no torque management.... and they live.
