The truck is up and running. The shifting problems are fixed thanks to every one that tried to help.

bought a lq9 with a 80e bolted to it,out of a 06 2wd ss truck. putting both motor and tranny in my 2000 rcsb with a 5.3.anything else besides pcm tuning,crossmember,and shaft that i will need? all the transmission shops around have been telling me that i have to get some f.a.s.t box to make it work,or the guts have to be changed out. kinda new to this fellas so any help will be appreciated.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you either dont have an LQ9 or you dont have an 80e. The LQ9 and 80e never came connected together. Look at the trans pan and see if the rear of it is V'ed like in the picture in the first post. An 06SSS came with an LQ9 and 65e.

your right,well would it be worth just leaving them connected and putting them in the truck,or is it gonna be too much of a hassle. i have the 60e in th truck right now.anything that i would have to change to make the 65e work?and whats the advantage of having a 65e? thanx for the help,its geatly appre.
