Default 4l80 tailshaft bushing

I am doing a swap a 2006 LQ4/4l80 into my 71 p/u.
I picked up a Th400 slip yoke and had it put on the DS.
installed and it seems loose. someone said it needed a different tailshaft bushing.
having a hard time finding out information about this.
one guy says there was a change in 04

Is this true?
What are my options? I am looking for other slip yokes and no differences listed for 04+.

THANKS!!

Thank you for that link. The issue is not with the inner diameter but the outer diameter of the bushing. Basically the normal replacement bushings we as builders get will not fit the later housings. The bushings in question here are a silver aluminum style bushing. When trying to install a replacement bushing it will literally fall right through the bore of the extension housing.

Your issue is not this. I'm guessing you have an extension housing with a worn bushing or a yoke that is slightly undersized. These combos are a little on the loose side to begin with so you might not have an issue. Hard to say with out personally feeling it. Vince B

a guy felt it yesterday (LOL) and said it felt like 40 thousandths, who knows really with out measuring the 2 pieces but what would you suggest in this case?

Fill it up with fluid and hope it dont leak out or try to find a 04+ DS with yoke on it?

FYI the 4l80 only has 16k miles on it, I know that doesnt mean much but I would hope the bushing is not worn that much but the used Yoke I got could be...
