Default 4l80 converter question

Hey guys and gals I got a quick question I was putting my Precision industries triple disk in my rossler 4l80 and its my first converter I have did watched a few videos and can't find any on 4l80s but I can still get my hand behind the converter. Everywhere I have read they say it's not seeded yet but I can't get it to go any farther don't wanna force it. So is this normal?

Fully installed you should feel 2 clunks, but the best way is to get something flat and put it across the face of the trans where it bolts to the engine and measure from that surface to the converter bolt pads, it should be about 1". Its not uncommon to have to rotate it around and giggle it to get it to go in all the way.

dont rely on clunks.

Measure from the bellhousing face to the front of the converter, as atomic mentioned.

Getting an aftermarket converter on a billet front shaft can be very annoying. I just gave mine a couple whacks with a rubber mallet while spinning the converter.
