How do you tell the diff between a
4L60E and a 4L70E with out opening
it up ? is there a marking on the case ?

I am pretty certain you can check the part number on the case, but if the builder built it and claims it is a 65 or 70, the only way to be sure would be to open it.

It didn't it is available through GM parts and apparently its a bad mf!
