Exclamation 4L60E work on a 2000 lq4

I have a lot of yes's and no's on this. I am going Sunday to buy a lq4. It is out of a 2000 Silverado HD 2500. Will my 4L60e out of my 05 5.3 work? I know some were saying no cause of of how long the crank was. They were saying the solution was to take a spacer out. Wouldn't that make it even longer? Wouldn't you want to add a spacer? I am about to build this 4l60e including all billet pieces. That's why I don't want to have to go out and buy a L80e if I didn't have to. Any help would be appreciated...

If it has a long crank without a removable spacer.... the 60e will not work.

no it will not work... the 2000 LQ4 have cast iron heads, get you a newer LQ4 with the aluminum heads and it will bolt right up to the 60e
