Well Ill put it this way Gonzo I had the factory cooler on there with my 3000 stall and it would get over 210 all the time under jsut brisk driving, then I put my 40,000GVW cooler on there and it never gets over 165-175 even beating on it. You know as well as I do one of the main enemies of trans is heat. After seeing the factory cooler I jsut dont ahve faith in its ability to cool a high performance application properly just my opinion.

I was asking OC if he had one.

So heat doesnt kill trannies.... Cold does?

More often for the 4L60 its hard shifting, slippage and weak hard parts. Not fluid temps

any time you can add surface area to a radiator you are going to help with cooling.....

I dont know where you get the info that a larger trans cooler does not help......any time you can keep the trans temps down you are better off. Heat is the NUMBER 1 killer of a transmission......

If the factory cooler keeps temps out of the danger zone what good is a bigger cooler? do you know the danger zone temps of a trans and for how long? A bigger cooler brings does the temps out of the trans sooner ,yes
