4L60e Rebuild questions
#1
Hey everyone, so i know you guys all recommend swapping over to the 4l80e but i just don't want to do that, this trans has lasted 220,000 miles, driving pretty hard, (maybe i got lucky). So yesterday it started slipping when shifting from 2nd - 3rd under partial throttle, (i have not tried WOT) because i need it to last me a couple more weeks before i can tear it apart. do you guys have any rebuild kits you would recommend? Ohh and this is in a crew cab 06 silverado with a 5.3. Intake, headers, tune, 3.90s and detroit truetrac.
I'm thinking

or

as well as,

and corvette servos witch i already have sitting new in box.
any advice will be appreciated.

try Tru TechHigh Performance Transmissions and Automatic Transmissions Parts at trutechtrans.com
they have kits that use 7 frictions for 3-4 setup (stock uses 6)
It is what the 4L65E has in it 7 frictions plus a few other upgrades.
Give them a call they are very helpful.
Also search mrvedit over on ls1tech, he helps a lot of guys with rebuilds.
