I bought a 2003 silverado, that will get a small gt45 turbo shortly, this will be a daily and occasional track truck, truck has lost 3rd and 4th. I will be building a 4l80 in the future but for now im going to rebuild the 4l60 to get it going. I am not going to dump a bunch of money into the 4l60 but from my research i want a kit with raybestos clutches, and probably a new drum with the wider band, corvette servo, i will be taking it apart first to see the shape of parts before i order. I have found quite a few kits in the 200 dollar range, problem is there are so many to choose from i cant decide. Whats the most bang for buck for a kit and some upgrades to stay around 500 bucks.

Check out Cyclone Transmission they have different levels of kits ranging from basic parts up to higher hp/tq duties. They range anywhere from $240-540 and use all quality brand name components. They have other parts for the 4l60e as well. I personally have their F2 built transmission in my tahoe and have abused the crap out of it for the last 3500ish miles and its holding up nice and firm.

If you want to hit the "easy button" call Dana at PBA and buy one of his kits. It's the best combo of parts and instructions to make it all work well.
