Default 4l60e problems

So last night on the interstate I lost power. cruised off the interstate and found that r d321 were all neutral. Had to get the Tahoe towed home. This morning I went to slide under to poke around but as I am a bigger guy this was a tad bit more difficult then i wanted it to be. I have a set of ramps that would make life much easier if this damn thing would just drive.... and oh wait.... it does. I was able to drive up on to the ramp whereas last night wasn't able to drive at all. What is the issue. Last night it wasn't even trying to shift into gear and the few time it attempted it was just "slipping" which I use loosely because it didn't feel like it actually was IN gear. Help me

I'd also like to add that the atf read extremely high last night even though its spot on level with full. (I check all fluids weekly)

What year truck?

What modifications?

Has the trans ever been rebuilt or modded? Has it failed in the past?

Its a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Mods are in signature. headers, servo, springs, and a bbp tune is all. Trans is stock aside from the servo. Never had an issue with it. changed the fluid about 40k miles ago.

Just a heads up, sigs don't show for those like me that are always on mobile.

You have a trans pressure guage?

Found this.

No movement in any gear: To check for pump failure, check fluid level with the engine off, then start the engine and recheck fluid level. If level does not go down when engine is running, the pump is broken.

If it stops moving when it stays running for a little while the filter is getting clogged up..usually a bad torque converter will cause that

Well I dropped the pan and there was a considerable amount of metal dust in the fluid. swaped out gaskets and filter and will check it out tomorrow. Just need it to last about a week. Built 4l60 coming soon hopefully
