Default 4l60e mods for longitivity

I just bought a 2004 silverado 4 wheel drive with the 4l60 trans. It's bone stock with 27k miles on it. I'd like to add a trans cooler and a shift kit to increase the longitivity of my trans. I see some kind of cooler in front of the a/c condensor, is that the trans cooler or engine oil cooler? Is the trans cooler in the radiator like most cars? I plan on keeping this truck as stock as possible. Do you guys think these are good mods to keep the trans running for a while?

you factory cooler is that small one you see in front... the shift kit and cooler along with some servos and the proper tune will make it last much longer...
