ok, a friend of mine has a 97 sierra. it has a stock 4l60e one piece type behind his 4.3l. we are going to be swaping in a ls1 soon. his trans now is about to ****. so we need to know if the ls1 style 4l60e like in the nbs chevy will bolt up to his 4.3l. i told him i think it will with his stock converter and flexplate. but he couldn't use the top bolt hole. and when we swap in the ls1 we just change the TC and flexplate. are the electronics the same?
