why is there so much trouble with the neutral safety switch? Should I just order a brand new 4l60e NSS and put it on the 80e while it's out?

as charcold said,
speed sensor is added @ pcm...no other option
harness plug-in connector is modified @ tranny...or a 60e to 80e adapter may be purchased

Think he is talkin about the main harness plug in. You can swap the wires for it at the pcm or swap them at the main harness plug in.

If I could get some help it would be appreciated. (scroll to last post)

I'd really like to give him a good answer and get this trans out of my hair (possibly).

Since he has an 04 pcm from a 6L/4l80e truck I don't know what to tell him, my limited research of 4l60e to 4l80e swaps is pretty weak lol Thanks for any help guys.
