I used the stock 60e line on the front, and a 2500 suburban line for the rear.

Problem is I forgot that the 2500s have a 34" radiator and mine is 28". So I had to do some bending of the line to get it to fit with the clutch fan shroud in place. When I had efans, no modification was required. With the correct radiator, it should just be plug and play I imagine.

thank God for reading this thread, and luckily, I have the lines cut off on mines. and YES it is the LONG fiting in the rear. My tranny is a 98 2500 truck, looks great and 30k miles on it, got a 3700 9.5 triple disc for it with 2 big coolers, more than a tru cool IMO. with the good ole clutch fan... paired to my 04 lq9... which after the install i found out that the lq9s use a different flexplate for the ss, escalade 65, 70e. WTF. Pulling tranny again to get new 80e flexplate and spacer. NUTS!

If you look on ebay you can buy some nice an fittings that fit the 80e. I think the seller is towersracing. They are about 18-20 bucks shipped. It comes with one long fitting for the rear and the short fitting for the front. They are available in -6 and -8

awesome thanks, just ordered it. Good thing a few other people caught this problem, looks like one of those things that can easily be not thought of that ends with big consequences

Crap! I wonder if this is where my 03 4l80e failed. I just read this thread then thought I might have used the 60e lines. I did. I am going to install the rear 80e line, that I had already, and see if my trans is still salvageable. We shall see. I'm glad I haven't had the extra cash to buy my built 80e and stall converter, that would have really sucked.
