Default 4l60e/4l65e/4l70e compatability questions. how to tell? 2wd-4wd etc etc

About the transmission:
I recently picked up a unit from a guy who said it was out of his 2008 silverado with a 5.3. The transmission has 8KLD on the white stamp which means it could be from a 07 or 08 4x4 chevy gmt800/gmt900 according to the link below.

4l60e 4l80e tag ID year make model it came out of - LS1TECH

8KLD T7279AA 4.8L, 5.3L K-Truck "New Body Style" & 5.3L T-Truck, Saab 9-7x

I am converting this 2 2wd so I opened it up. It has 4 pinion planets, front iss sensor, reluctor ring/wheel on the input shaft. The unit was extremely clean and I did not notice any worn parts or parts that looked older than other parts so I can only assume it was never taken apart.

I am wondering what this unit is. I thought that the gmt900's came with 65e/70e. From what I've researched the input is only on the 65e but some say it is only on the 70e. Most everything ive read says that the 5 pinion planets are only on 65e/70e.

Question 1: So what the hell is this thing?

I need to know what output shafts will work to convert it to 2wd(I don't need clarification on whether it is 2wd or 4wd). I picked one up at the trans supplier but it turned out to have a different spline length where the sun gear attaches to it. Went back, exchanged the output for another output that matched the spline length so I hope it works. I haven't found much info regarding different output shafts. The 2wd output shaft has a different chamfer on almost every location.

Question 2: WHich output shaft? ow to Identify?

This will be going into my 2007 gmt900 2wd. I am puting the truck back to stock (4l80e back to 4l60e) so I will be repinning the wires to there original locations unless I am told otherwise. I assume all the internal wiring is the same for 2wd and 4wd since the output/vss speed senors are on the tailhousing/transfer case.

Wiring changes?

Question 3: My brother picked up a 2008 4x4 4l60e/4l65e/4l70e (havent opened it up, now I am confused because of above issue) unit i will be converted to 2wd for his 2000 silverado. How can we get it to function in his truck? I believe he has a 13 pin transmission connector iirc. The new trans will have a 15 pin because of the iss I assume. I believe the old 60e's ran off of one speed sensor in the tail housing. Can the wiring for the iss be abandoned?
