I Have A 4l80e Out Of A 2002 Gmc 2500. I Have The 4l60e In My Truck Which Would You Build? Isnt Gearing In 4l80e Different Than The 60e?

80e all the way I ahve killed 3 65es and am going with an 80e now many many many people ahve wasted money on building 65es I would do the 80e and not look back

I would, and did too. but if you don't plan on to many more mods you would be O.K with a good FLT 65e. Yes the gear ratios are different, larger first and small O.D in the 80e. wich I've read can be changed.

Nice to see support for the 80. Some folks just won't let go of the 700R4.

5 toasted 60's and 65's tell me 80E and nothing else. You will actually save yourself money in the long run. I dont think a 60/65 will hold up over the long run in a truck with more power than stock.

Driveshaft length change and wire harness I believe. I done forgot since its beeen a year without my truck lol

4L80E all the way. I hate the first gear in it but then again it could have been due to a bad converter I got.
