No sense of having it loud if you can't let it be heard.

That sucks dude, hope you get it fixed soon. You don't hear the 4L60E breaking quite as much on the lighter trucks like the RCSB trucks and 2WD versions for that matter. I know a few dudes that still have the Original 4L60E in a RCSB 2WD like mine with Fbo cam, heads, stall and fbo cam, stall and they beat on it pretty much every day. I think you can get away with it more because of it being a RCSB like stated and they are a 2wd with stock sized rims and tires. The lesser weight of the truck helps and less load on the drivetrain from not having heavy *** tires / rims. I saw one guy on this forum still running the stock 4l60e and has a turbo + stall (can't remember his name off hand), hes not running super high boost prob 5-7psi in a Rcsb I believe.

I'm still on the stocker 4L60E also, knock on wood.

I have a rcsb and mine bit the dust recently. All stock and 156,000 miles. 3/4 clutches finally toasted. Just got her rebuilt. Drives great now. Vette servo, beast shell, aluminum accumulator pistons and other goodies.

Glad I got a lil kryptonite now, couldnt take it no more....

60e will never hold behind WEIGHT! throw it in a camaro and be a happy MFer! Try it in a long wheelbase, suv, or heavy truck, and its will kill itself.

My '99 has the crossmember that bolts on underneath the frame. All i would have to do is drill new holes and bolt it up.

My '01 has the box crossmember so I will be chopping and welding that one myself. Shouldn't be too hard...
