Well I am now going onto number 5, I lost first gear last week. I was in process of getting parts for the 80E swap and was kinda hoping that the ole 60E would hold up until September. I am just having it rebuild again and I will be getting a 80E and have it beefed up. I have only had the cam and heads for a few months. This is number 3 in a year and half.

 

Who the hell is building your trannys? I put mine through hell every time I drive it and it works great.

 

Just put a stock 80e in and you will be fine.

 

That was my original plan was to go 80E but I guess I'll wait for that again. I'm just getting it rebuilt.

 

Man that sucks! I'm thinking about going with an 80E. I bet I could damn near have the swap done by the time I get my trans and converter back.

Are you fabricating your crossmember or having some one do it? I would pay someone to fabricate me one. The only thigh that I have is the flexplate and spacer as of right now.

Yes they are, one got my 4th gear.
