i have haed time research to get info swap 400 trans on 06 silverado want to hook up my speedometer and hiw to do with netual saftey switch please

 

TH400? Why not 4L80E. Same amount of work and better trans.

 

i done with 80e now i have neal racing 400 transbrake for bg race 427lsx 102mm turbo thats why

 

The best way is to find parts from late 70's early 80's 2wd th400 or th375. It has an electronic speedo. You will have to get a billet reluctor gear online and replace the plastic speedo gear on the output shaft with the billet piece.

The electronic speedo for this trans is no longer manufactured and getting tougher and tougher to find so good luck


The other way is a cable to vss conversion unit.

 

They make a transbrake for 4L80E. Ive had two of them. I actually think I have some of those billet reluctors too.

 

Update...… I finish found speed sensor and recuel wheel to make it work. I need a help only for netural safety switch from 4l80e to 400 transmission how to do. if you have any pictures to show and how to do. I would appericate it. I am trying to get things done asap. Thank you for your time..
