Toxic shocks SUCK it seems like the vavling is wrong or something they just don't dampen like I think they should.

I have heard yes and no but my thoughts are that the stock shocks were designed to have X travel and when you lower it you have limited the amount of travel that the shock can have. Thus limiting the performance of the stock shock. I might be WAY off base my that is my school of thinking.

No, lca's don't change the distance of the shocks travel.

Nitro Drop Shocks.
Had toxic shocks they were O.K. but after two years of using them they needed to be changed.

Thats what I thought. Guess the question is now if I should keep my stocks up front or change them when I replaced the rears. I just wonder how the ride would be like with stocks up front and lowering shocks in the back.

I guess I was wrong..you would think that you were taken 4 inchs of travel away and that the shocks wouldn't be able to rebound and compress the full length because you have removed 4 inch of clearance. But I was wrong...learn something new everyday.

It'll be ok as long as you have extenders the rear.

That's correct if you use coil springs.

I ran stock shocks up front with summit drop shocks in the rear, and the ride was nice and smooth, even with the 275/35/20 tires I was running. Now I am running adjustable QA1s and love them, except for the pricetag on them.
