Were you shifting into overdrive? According to all the online calculators I've found, 6500 rpm in third gear, tops out at 118 with a 28" tire. I know mine does because I've had it that high and it just quit pulling, then my drive shaft let loose.

im running 4.10s and plan on doing 4.56s very soon i want more pickup plus im looking at doing a bigger cam going from a 226/230 to a 234/238

Heres a vid doing some testing earlier today, I generally shift out of second around 100 @ 7200 but in the vid I shifted early to try to keep from spinning.. btw on the dyno @ 7200 rpm in 3rd is 139mph

4.56's! I gained .5 off the gear change alone!

They are fun, lol. I bitch about them every once in awhile bc of the rpm's on the highway, but I'm glad I went with them. Mind you I run a 31.5" tire and the tire/wheels weigh 81#
